The main rationale for doing this website is that in many cases the focus of both the news and development agencies can be overly supply oriented. There is no doubt that quality supply of energy is necessary for development, but often the demand side is not give its due attention. I am publising this website in order to promote information exchange on household and renewable energy in developing countries for all those interested. There will be periodic postings on exisitng work and I will provide new information as it becomes available on this topic.

In making comments on on this blog please keep the comments civil.  I will review and delete any comments that seem overly personal.   I encourage dialogue and even well founded disagreement, as many topics that are to be covered are controversial.  But respect for others is the name of the game.
